Photos Slideshow. Where did random go?

I don't want to use the new Movie feature. I just want to be able to play my pictures in a slideshow and have them show up randomly. I can't even figure out how to do a slide show with all my photos. I can only pic by year or date. The movie takes forever to load and you can change slide settings by seconds anymore. short, medium or long? wth happen to this app.

If someone knows how to do it, please let me know.
