I am noticing the weird issue that the the photos I synchronised to my iPod touch 32Gb consume 6 times more space than they did in iPhoto.
I allready resized the photographs to 640px (longest edge) and imported the resized images into iPhoto. Looking at the foldersize of the iPhoto library it shows me the 'Originals' folder contains 99.6 MB of files, and the Data folder contains 39,4 MB:
However, when I sync my iPhoto library to my iPod Touch, it appears the same photos take 599,8 MB of space on my iPod Touch. 6 times the size!:
When I ssh into my iPod Touch, I see the following:
Apparently, one thumbnail file (?) consumes about 500MB?
Anybody got a clue what is going on here? Why do photographs consume 6 times the size as compared to the iPhoto database? It does not make sense at all?
