Photos taken with Messages app are not geotagged

I'm running the iOS 8 GM and noticed that when I take a new photo from the Messages app, that photo will be added to the photo library without geotag information.

I tested this in several locations. I'm running the iOS 8 GM on an iPhone 5C. Can anyone else replicate the problem?

I don't have iPhoto on my mac so I can't add my own geotag. I wish it were possible to edit geotag information directly from the iPhone.

I have the same thing. Also I took a picture using the hangouts app and no geotag. Maybe apps that access the camera cannot use its location?

Did you enable location

For messages app? I did that.
