I've still been using Aperture and have considered moving to Photos. The problem i've ran into is under my current library in Aperture i have a ton of albums, for some reason Photos doesn't pick those up when moving my library? How have others done this? Should I just stick with Aperture which I really like even though it won't be supported anymore?

It should pick up albums, but it's hard to say without knowing how your Aperture library is organised. Did you use projects for organising?
