Photoshop 6 Crashes IMMEDIATELY on startup

I am a newbie here, so if you've discussed this elsewhere, please let me know.

I just bought Photoshop Elements 6.0 and installed with no problems. However,
when I started it up, it immediately crashed. It did this several times. I started to look in preferences files, plists, etc. and could not find anything that might be the culprit.

I also ran Applejack hoping to correct the problem... no dice.

Anyone had similar problems? Solutions?

PS7 will not open in 10.5.x, perhaps it's the same for PSE6 ?

Is it possible to check software requirements ?

No idea.. Photoshop Elements 6 is natively supported by 10.5 so I therefore can't give you any ideas ...

Still Looking For Answers

I have tried quite a few things, my computer has enough firepower to run the software....

I have to call Adobe support on Tuesday so that might give me some answers...

When I get things fixed up I'll note it here in the forum so that others will know.
