It's been about 3-4 years since I used Photoshop at its full potential, sadly I forgot a lot of info. I am looking for a good book to help me remember everything. Right now I am just using Elements 9 until CS5 shows up, so I am kinda in an annoying position since these books are not cheap. I will need a CS5 book, since I was using CS2 for awhile. I just want to get to work with Elements. Would a Photoshop CS5 book be fine? I never used Elements before, just got it cheap, why I am using it until I get CS5. Of course I don't want to buy 2 books if 1 can pretty much sum it up. For example I had Final Cut Express before Pro, and the books were very similar, I knew what FC express couldn't do, except I know a lot more about FCP then Photoshop. Photoshop is a program I always wanted to get back into, even thought about taking a class at the local community college, nice when you already graduated and don't need to worry about grades or being there every day since I am in the job hunt.
There are just so many books, even at Boarders, they all look pretty good except I don't really need to go over the very basics like red eye, though I assume they all have that. Im kinda in between levels which makes the search harder, need to go over a just a few beginner stuff quickly for a refresh which shouldn't take long, so more of a mid level book.
thanks for any info.
