photoshop CS2 wont let me save as a jpeg?

I want to make a jpeg file but CS2 will only let me save as either a:

Photoshop
Cineon
Large Document Format
Photoshop PDF
Photoshop Raw
PNG
TIFF


Why cant I save as a Jpeg?

Sounds like you're in 16bit or 32bit mode... Convert to 8bit and you should get the option to save as a jpeg.

lol, ya that did it....i just checked that once i posted this....senior moment, haha.

Also, if you hit Command + Shift + S you can use "save for web", which works with any settings (it just auto-converts it).

While you're at it, make sure you're in RGB, because a CMYK JPEG will not render in most browsers.
