Photoshop CS3 and iPhoto

Hey everybody,
I am having a problem with Photoshop and iPhoto all of a sudden. Here are the steps that cause the problem:

Open Photoshop
choose file->open
select photos which access the photos in iPhoto
select event -> Photoshop crashes

I dont know what caused this to happen. I can open other files in Photoshop, and the other applications can open the files in iPhoto. I have a macbook pro with all software up to date. And and all help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!
