I just bought a plug-in, but it isn't working. I've installed it properly, but it won't show up in the filters menu. When I manually click the .plugin file, Photoshop opens up and says:

"Could not complete this request because Photoshop does not recognize the file type."

Is this a Leopard issue?

I need to know. Can someone help me out?

Are you running CS3 on an Intel Mac and trying to use a PPC plugin? If so you will have to force CS3 to start under Rosetta where it will be really slow...

• What plug-in is it?
• Where exactly did you install it?
• Did you quit Photoshop and restart it?
• Did you restart your Mac?
• What are the permissions set on the plug-in?
• Is it showing up in the About Plug-ins menu?
• As robbieduncan asked, is it a PPC plug-in?

-It's Noise Ninja.
-I installed it to the plugins folder, as the instructions said. I also made an alias for it and put it in the Import/Export folder (didn't work, though.)
-Yes.
-Yes.
-The permissions are default - I'm allowed to use it.
-No, its not.
-The site says it works on both PPC and Intel.

I'm on a G5 iMac, by the way. Not an Intel.

There are two versions of Noise Ninja available for download. One for CS3 on Intel Macs ONLY and one for older versions of Photoshop, or CS3 on PPC. Did you download the second one, not the first?
