Photoshop Elements in High Sierra

Am on Sierra at present, and it's a bit glitchy, browsers and Mail, so wonder if upgrading to High Sierra will maybe iron out a few problems. I can't do Mojave on the MBP 2011, but wondered if and what works on HS Photoshop wise. I use Elements 9 whish runs fine on Sierra. I understand I will lose this if I do upgrade though. Anyone have any experience of it and if it does die on HS? Also, what do you use now. Thanks
