Hi all,
I get married a week tomorrow, and we're making our own sweet shop with jars, i've been looking into making our own labels, but how do you make fancy boarders on photo shop? Do you buy them from anywhere like istockphoto's?

These are the sort of thing we want, but this lady has just had a baby, and can't make any for us...

Thanks

Are you an experienced Photoshop user?

First of all, a lot of the fonts being used on that site look like they are Rosewood. It has that old-timey feel that you are probably going for with the vintage labels.

The best way that I would think of is either to do a search for a downloadable PSD file as a template or just draw out the design of the label yourself (either in PS or Illustrator if you have it, or on paper and scan it in), then just create, print, and cut.

If you want a background I'm sure you'll be able to find one for free no problem. A good place to look for free stock images is http://www.sxc.hu/home .

I'm sure you CAN buy fancy borders on a stock website. I'm not sure how much they would cost, though. Use the site I linked above to search for some free ones if you like.

If you are getting married in a week you'd better hurry! lol Congrats. :)
