photoshop help

I have a tiff photo and I want to save as a jpeg and photoshop doesn't give me the option. How do I save it as a jpeg?

What kind of tiff is it? Is it a bitmap, is it layered? Is it 16 bit?
Go to Image>Mode and check there and check the layers palette.

BV has probably forgotten more about Photoshop than I've ever learnt, but have you tried using the File->Save for Web... option.

I've just tried that on a 16-bit tiff with two layers and it was quite happy to let me save as a JPEG by choosing from the options just below the Save/Cancel/Done buttons...
