Hi, all!
I recently upgraded to the 2011 MBP (15.4", 4-core i7, 2.2Ghz, 8gb RAM) and it is already running sooo much better than my 2009 machine, but, since I've now upgraded to current, I was wondering what tips and tricks you Photoshop experts would recommend for my situation.
I have a business doing scanning and hi-resolution photography (mostly Hasselblad) of fine art paintings for printing... via scanning, we routinely process images at 1200dpi with physical dimensions of 3' x 4'! As you can imagine, we end up with images well in excess of a gigabyte. My questions are these:
- What size scratch drive is optimal? I am thinking of using a 32gb sd card in the side slot to have installed at all times as a scratch drive... is that sufficient? Will it boost performance significantly?
- What other tips/tricks do you have for optimizing Photoshop performance for situations like mine?
