I was a Photoshop CS user for years, highly preferring the interface to CS2. A while ago I decided to buy the CS2 suite at the enormous student discount I could muster, but never installed a single app, until tonight.

Using it just now, I realized something about it that I loathe - when moving text or objects around, PS wants to snap them to some invisible grid. I do not like this and very much prefer the fully free-floating capacity that CS offered.

Is there a way to turn all auto-snaps off? I scoured the Preferences panel but noticed nothing relating directly to it.

Thanks for the help.

Perfect! Thanks.

Placing the Snap feature under the View heading seems like they had no appropriate category to place it in and put it at the first open spot they could manage. Blast.

Anyways. Thanks.
