Photoshop start up

Photoshop isn't fully loading for me. I get the spinning wheel when it is reading "Preferences"

any suggestions?

Only the obvious ones:

- restart your computer
- trash the Photoshop prefs (home > Library > Preferences > com.adobe.Photoshop.plist)
- repair permissions
- repair the hard drive

Try each of those separately, restart, and then try to open PS again. If it still hangs, you may be best off reinstalling the app.
