hi guys

im finding since ive starting using my new G5 that when i use photoshop and illustrator and hold the cursor over a tool in my toolbar to choose an alternative tool it takes 4-5 seconds to show me the options. on my powerbook G4 and Win XP its instant. is there a setting i need to lock (never had to before) or is it a bug with OSX 10.4 and adobe?

cheers

me too

CS5 Photoshop started this behavior for me also, shortly after installing (at least I think it was fine initially). Now I have to click and hold on a given tool for a loooong time before the subtool options fly out. maybe it is only a few seconds but it's a terrible workflow inhibitor.

reset preferences and no change. maybe I'll uninstall and reinstall later if no better ideas come forward.

I'm on a 1 year old iMac, pretty much best configuration possible at that purchase date around feb 2010. This isn't a performance related issue.

thanks for any ideas.
