i spent 2.5 hours with Apple Support on this yesterday and made no progress. lots of different diagnostics, but i'll keep it brief here and wanted to see if anyone has seen this recently:

a couple of days ago, it appears that Photostream stopped working on my iPhone 11 Pro (13.3.1)... i tried countless things including turning photo stream on and off on different devices (macs, iPads, iPhone itself), rebooting, etc. i don't think any changes happened to my phone or settings. i just realized yesterday that i couldn't take a picture and then grab it from my mac to be used for mail there. when i went back and looked, the last four photos i took over two days were not moving from the "camera roll" to "Photostream"

in the end, a bunch of testing and suggestions with three levels of phone apple support and nothing worked. this has been elevated to Engineering. Yet, last night, after another hard reboot of my iPhone and turning off photo stream (which deleted photos in the stream so that it was down to zero), it actually brought everything back up except the missing 4 photos from the previous days. and photos taken subsequently after the reboot appeared in Photostream. fast forward to this morning, i snap a picture of a receipt for my usual workflow of submission of a claim on my mac. and nothing happens. (btw, Photostream works fine on my Mac as well as an iPad pro running 13.3.1)

i hard reboot the phone, and things start working again (including photos taken by the iPad showing up, but oddly, the photo of the receipt i took does not appear. any photos i take right now (using iPhone), do show up in Photostream on my iPhone.

has anyone experienced this before? any thoughts/suggestions?

i should also note that i am NOT using iCloud photos (for many reasons)... i also got the sad hint yesterday that Photostream may be going away in the near future...(i think they want us all to use iCloud photos, but until they give us more space for free or for less money, i don't think i'll pursue iCloud photos (again, i have a lot of reasons for not liking iCloud photos, but space and cost is one of many)
