Ok, hi :)

I own the old unibody MacBook.

I'm having a problem with the trackpad, it won't detect physical clicks. I already checked the settings, but the settings seems to be fine.

I also used to take the battery out and use external power instead, maybe the battery is supporting the trackpad so it won't get loose?

If yes, it's too late :( mine is already very loose and does not detect physical clicks.

And yes, I do own a magic mouse. But having a dead trackpad really annoys me.

And last but not leas. Is it OK to tune that one screw (three-prong) below the trackpad assembly, will it make it better?

Thanks in advance :D

yes I am also having this problem if anyone can help out... my multi touch trackpad on my 2009 white unibody will move the mouse cursor but it wont let me physically click on anything.... how do I fix this issue? install a new trackpad? or what?

The best thing too do is too take it too an Apple store and have them take a look at it for you, at least too get to get it diagnosed.
