So I was overjoyed when this was released. Finally got a chance to play with it and such this past week and Google has some serious work to do.

I keep a "Photo" folder on an FAT 32 external drive, arranged by Year folders, then Events inside the Years folder (Photo>Year>Events>Pictures).

1) Picasa did not keep my folder structure. It came out all jumbled. My Events that were in 2006, where in Year 2005, for example. All my folders were botched in Picasa. The FIX: Picasa cannot do FAT32 properly. Moved my entire 8GB library (I know it's small, but growing) to my HFS formatted Macboo Pro. Folder structure showed up flawlessly and as I intended.

2) Pictures disappeared after some usage. I traced this doing google searches and it appears that if you do a cut and paste from one folder to another in Picasa, the entire library starts malfunctioning and the library disappears completely. Upon closing and reloading the program, the library appears as normal as if nothing happened. The FIX: Do not cut and paste from one folder to another in Picasa. If you happened to have done this, you need to rebuild your Picasa library, but before you do, do not use a FAT32 drive. Haven't tried this now that I have everything on my Macbook drive, but don't want to do this again.

3) Won't save my edits to the drive. Again, related to Picasa not being able to do FAT32. Google says they are aware of it and working on a fix. The FIX: Move your photos to your Macbook HFS drive and everything works as it should.
