Would there be any way (short of re-coding) to run Picasa for Linux in X11 so it can be used in OS X? Picasa's one of the few things (very few things) that I miss about Windows, and I don't think I can take it any longer waiting on Google to release Picasa for OS X. :)

I've already tried to install it with sh in Terminal - it starts uncompressing, then about 15 lines of dots (...), then it stops and says "The setup program seems to have failed on x86/unknown". Same thing with X11.
 
No not that, that's just the web uploader to the web albums. I'm trying to get the full photo organizing program to work.
 
You cannot run a Linux binary on OSX (even with X11 installed). You need to recompile for OSX linking against the OSX version of the libraries. Even with the source code this may not be simple...
