Thank you for this post! I was getting nervous because mine still said processing items, but I feel better knowing that others have the same message. I wish they would email you and tell you that you DO have one reserved so you know you're good to go.
And I did have an authorization on my credit card immediately after I preordered my phone (at 2:20 a.m. on Friday morning, by the way). I checked and there was something from Apple for a very small amount; I know it was just the authorization going through to make sure my card was good. But that's a good sign.
