Pick up in store?

I'm going to be out of town on the 16th, and am thinking of doing in-store pickup in the city where I'll be. Will I know when I order if I am getting the phone on launch day? I'm only there for a couple of days and don't want it to come after I leave.

Can you do in-store pickups on launch? via apple? verizon? etc.
Or even Post Office maybe? Anyone know?

From years before you can certainly do in store pickup. Its what I'm planning on doing

You should be able to. Tonight you'll see if its available or not but i did the same last year.
