Wasn’t sure where to post this thread, but here are your choices:
  • Base Mac Mini 128GB + Base 2018 iPad 128GB = $800 + $400 = $1,200
  • 2018 MacBook Air 128GB = $1,200
  • iPad Pro 12.9inch 64GB + Smart keyboard Folio = $1,000 + $200 = $1,200
Assumptions:
  • You have legacy monitor, BT Keyboard, and BT mouse that are decent and serviceable. You can keep them. Otherwise, you will sell your existing computer and/or tablet to help pay for whatever you buy. So, basically, what you choose will be it.
  • Your budget is $1,200, plus you have a little extra cash to buy a few additional acessories as needed (e.g. dongles, Apple Pencil, speakers, protective case, etc..)
  • You are a typical everyday consumer: mail, messages, safari, notes, photos, iMovie, iWork/Office, calendar, reminders, Books/PDFs, Netflix, YouTube, etc.. You think you might want to draw stuff, but you are completely devoid of artistic talent.
Which do you pick and why? See poll.
