MP 1,1-5,1 Picked up Mac Pro w/ no hard drive, Can you help?

- arrived w/ No hard drive ( installed a blank SSD 500 GB)

Hi all, I was hoping someone could help lead me to a previous build or guide. I need to.

- Install any bootable OS to SSD from either the mac itself w/ ethernet (If possible) OR use a windows machine and software with an ISO and or USB flash drive.

- What OS do you recommend?

I havent seen any relevant guides to my build, I will continue to search, but could you point me in the right direction or comment if my goals are possible or not.

Internet Recovery is only available with late-2013 and 2019 Mac Pro, your's don't have it. You need to download El Capitan installer (an early-2009 non cross-flashed to MP5,1 firmware will run up to El Capitan) and make a createinstallmedia USB installer, easy with a Mac, maybe you can do it with a macOS VM.

To make a createinstallmedia USB installer:

Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support

You can use a USB flash drive or other secondary volume as a startup disk from which to install the Mac operating system. These steps are primarily for system administrators and other experienced users.
