i placed an order online like most of you but i did it pretty late i was on vacation pretty much all of december so i didnt get the order in till the 3rd of January, and the wait times were horrible but then i started reading online that they are carrying the certain configuration at the apple stores and i was hesitate at first because i thought they online carry base-line models. but i started making calls to all my local apple stores in Houston and i finally hit the jackpot they had 3 in stock of the Imac 27" 3.4 i7 8GB 1TB Fusion 680mx and then i rushed as fast as i could to the apple store at the Galleria and picked one up and come to find out it was the last one!!!!! 2 imac of the same config sold in the 25 minutes or so it took me to drive there i was sooo relieved .
point of the story is if you need this configuration definitely call all of your local apple stores.
and dont give up if they say its sold out
this is my very first Mac ever and i had to go with the iMac and i am loving it so far
