TL;DR Picked up my preordered 13 on Friday in store - Apple Store app still says waiting to be picked up - other clues point to this being true. Need thoughts in how to see what record Apple actually has.
Story...
Preordered a Max with Apple Care + and I selected T-mobile to continue with. The site said it would be activated with an e-sim.
So...10am on Friday morning went to Apple Store for my appointment.
Showed my ID as I checked in and they said to wait. While waiting in line I told one of the outside line folks- "I don't need to set up- I can set up at home." They were only set up for walking people through the set up process but after 10 mins they found someone who would just be able to get me the device and I could go.
The person who assisted asked if I had checked in - I said yes I had. I said do you need to see my ID again- She said no. She got a bag for me. The phone came. I went home.
The first odd thing - No e-sim. No notice from TMobile either. The phone asked for a sim. I ended up using my old sim from my XS. Which now named my new phone what my old phone was. Transferred with no issue. Thinking this was it...
My Settings now keep saying I have the amount of days I have to add Apple Care. Apple Card is showing it under monthly but it doesn't seem to be acknowledged clearly like every other purchase I have made with the card. ( other monthly things were very clear)
I cannot tell if Apple really does not have a record of me walking out with a phone or if it truly is a Point of Sale glitch. T Mobile certainly does not have a record as there was no e-sim present or even designation that this was T-Mobile.
Any ideas of how to know what Apple actually has on record? When I have gotten other items in a similar way the Apple Care has been added to the device automatically. Maybe I'm being dim but I don't have the usual things and something just seems off... Any help would be appreciated here.
