Just upgraded to Yosemite, then I tried the continuity function, it didn't work...
I connected to the same wifi (phone and laptop), but it just didn't happen.
I am wondering is that gonna be in the iOS 8.1 upgrade?

Same here ... using a late 2012 iMac : both the iPhone 6 plus and my Mac are on the same wifi network ! I tried to connect my phone to the iMac via Bluetooth but they just cannot seem to pair (I only had Yosemite telling me that it was paired a couple of times but it lasted not more than 2 or 3 seconds ...). Where am I wrong, has anyone a clue ?

it suppose to work from 8.0.... check your FaceTime and make sure it's connected with apple id...and make sure your iPhone and/or iPad is on same apple id...via FaceTime option via setting..
and make sure iCloud is on...or have id connect...

Making and taking cals is supported on 8.0.1, you need iCloud and FaceTime, Contacts and Messages all signed into the same iCloud id on both the Mac and iPhone....

Can't get SMS working though...

Edit: SMS and Instant Hotspot require 8.1....
