I want to use Skype for chatting, on a late 2014 iMac. So i plug in my headphones on the headphone jack, and make the calls. Almost everybody, i speak to, complain that apart from hearing my voice, they can also, hear loudly other sounds that occur in the room! What might be wrong here?

Now that i think of it, i believe that the reason should be the very good microphone the iMac uses and can easily catch sounds from around! Is there a way to plug in a microphone that will be pointed right to the users mouth, so it doesnt pick up any surrounding sounds?

USB headset with microphone. iMac's has an internal microphone and if you want to use other microphone than that (which pick's up backround noise) USB headset is the only way.

Is there something special for the iMac?

Isnt there something more minimal? Thats too overkill for me and the iMac styling :D
