I was able to snag an appointment for today, surprisingly. Problem is that I'm nearsighted and won't have Zeiss lenses ordered yet. Should I throw in some contacts for my pickup, or wear my glasses? (I intend to use contacts with the AVP until my Zeiss lenses arrive though) I thought I'd read somewhere that the in-store pickup experience includes them "demoing" with lenses they have in-store, after they read your prescription off your glasses?

There seems to be a big difference in light seal size for me, with (33w) and without glasses (21w).

They won't let you wear your own glasses (at least they didn't for me) - most glasses will rub up against the interior lenses.

What I did is wear my glasses to the appointment, tried on the AVP with the inserts they have in-store (the employee assisting me said they have over 900 prescriptions they can accommodate), then once that was done, I put my contacts in and we modified the config with different light seals/cushions so I could get a good fit with both.

Keep in mind that this can make your appointment take a lot longer since it takes a few minutes for them to get a new light seal ready for you, but it was worth it for me so I knew the fit would be as good as possible in either scenario.

I’d wear my glasses in. They’ll scan your glasses with a little machine that they have and that will identify the correct optical inserts and then you can experience the Apple Vision Pro without your glasses were without contact.
