iPad Pickup in store at Thursday at 12am?

The title of this thread isn't quite matching what you're asking. You're asking if you order at 12am Friday (12am is no longer Thursday) right? As for being able to pick-up as early as 8am (which again would be Friday, not Thursday), I don't think anyone knows yet. My guess would be later that day to give the sales reps a chance to process your order and have it ready for you.

If I order the iPad air November 1st (Thursday at 12am or technically Friday) will I be able to pickup the iPad air on Friday at 8am instead of waiting in line or will my iPad be given to customers who waited in line? I just need to get it Friday morning the day of launch so do I have to wait in line or am I guaranteed an iPad air on Friday at 8am or later Friday morning?

Order on line, yours will be yours only. You walk past all the fools who actually waited in line just like a celebrity. They won't give it away to anyone, as it's yours
No, they have real time inventory online so you can see what's what. If they are out of stock because you may have (gotten times wrong
) and missed a day or twoThen it will say it will ship it to you or the store. But if you order early, it will say "pick up Store today, Thursday.... I'm mean Friday"

if you're going at 8a, you will probably have to wait in a different line for people you opted for the in-store pick up. my recommendation is to go a couple hours later. no one will sell the ipad you already bought.
Wait a minute folks. You think you can use the online Apple store to make the order at midnight California time, which is an Apple central point for everyone, and you can then drive over to the Apple store at 8 AM or so, and it will be there ? How can that work ? Apple has to process this, and than give you a date to pick it up. That very same day is suspicious at best, and to me highly unlikely.
you can do this now with the iphone or just about anything else apple sells online. granted, you might not get the pick up email before 8a, but it definitely will be on friday.

I did the same thing yesterday at a couple stores. It's called: 2013
But not the newest model being released. It may have a back order or the order will not be processed for that early morning pick-up date. Apple may not even have an online pick-up link at first as they did not have it for the iPhone either until later

This is fun, right ? But I hope I am wrong, but I got this gut feeling it won't happen at least on the first few days.
You know it wasn't that long ago (2010) when Apple introduced the first iPad and allowed for reservations for same day pick-up (9am on Saturday April 3rd). If Apple has 100 reservations and 150 iPad in stock, those 100 people will get theirs for sure and the other 50 will be first-come first-served.
When the first iPad was released my local Apple Store was letting people in 2-1 ratio. 2 people got in with reservation/pre-order and 1 person would go in from the walk-in line. I had a reservation and was out in 15 mins (from pic below, I was far back)
