.. London ..
Hiya,

Lots of luvverly snow in London today! Here are some pics that I sent to the BBC today - what do you think? Feel free to post your own too.

This is the first time I've ever put my photos up for public view so comments will be appreciated.

All were taken on a 2 year old 4mpx Canon Powershot A80, and are straight from the camera, no tweaking or cropping.

1. Exposed staircase at South Hampstead rail station. The falling snow has a lovely visible grain.

3 : A commuter from clan RedTomato waiting for her train at the same station. It never came.

4. Someone else sheltering from the snow.

5. Baby Molly (my daughter) peeping out from her pram at her first snow.

6. Special bonus photo for MR members (I didn't send this to the BBC.)

Someone else from clan RedTomato standing at Kilburn bus stop. I like the old woman peering at me doubtfully :)

WOW because I do not live in the snow or live in an area where we get snow (except the crazy day in Malibu) this is great. I wish when I was in London in November that I could have seen this!

Great photos. The black (or grey) staircase in the first photo and the one of the rail lines in the second juxtapose nicely against the snow.

Nice pictures, the green rail really stands out against the drab weather. I'm getting a little sick of snow right now, we've got three or feet of the darned stuff!

I wish we had three feet of the darn stuff

Has to be someone who hasn't had to shovel the stuff for 20 years of their life :D

FWIW, I don't mind snow...too much, and within moderation. What I really dislike is ice. Especially on the driveway between the mailbox and the house.

In any event, I enjoyed the London shots. Reminds me of when I was in that neighborhood 2 years ago and we had a light dusting.

-hh

cool! it looks DAMN cold, esp your baby, talk about rugged up!

nice and warm here in Australia!

my mum lives in Newcastle UK, it gets DAMN cold up there too

Oh cool, I used to work near Finchley Rd Station. :)

That's a lot of snow. I heard about the snow, but I thought it was just another overreaction by the Brits to cold weather.
