One thing I miss in OS X is the option to connect pictures to the folder icon. In Windows you can do this by renaming a picture inside the folder to "folder.jpg"
It's really nice to browse through ones movie collection when you can view the covers instead of reading every folder.

So, is there a way to do this in OS X? If not in finder, perhaps in another application?

Or you can:
1. copy the image file
2. open it in preview
3. save it as a .png
4. re-open it
5. select all
6. copy
7. hit get info for the file you want to change
8. select the current icon (in the upper left hand corner)
9. paste

That should hopefully do it.

To change the icon for any disk, app, file or folder:
  1. Copy the image you want to use, from any source (Command-C)
  2. Locate the app, file or folder in Finder
  3. Right-click and "Get Info" or Command-I
  4. Click the icon in the upper left corner of the Get Info window
  5. Command-V to paste

Smooth! Thank you!

But I had to select the image inside photoshop and copy it from there.

Now I have 200+ folders to change ;p
