Hi guys,

Firstly, I'm a newbie on here and new to Macs. I got a 27" iMac for my birthday in September and coming from PCs I'm still learning how to use it.

But so far I'm loving it, an absolutely superb piece of engineering and so much better to use than the PC.

What I'd like though is some picture editing software but not sure what to get. I tend to download lots of car pictures as wallpaper for my iPad but sometimes I need to crop or resize them to fit.

Can someone recommend a good picture editing app or piece of software that I can use to do this?

Thanks,
Richard.

iPhoto has some basic editing, but if you need to do more than simple cropping, there are two popular software:

Pixelmator and PhotoShop Elements

You can get the full PhotoShop program, but the cost is high.

The two above are less than $100 and both can be purchased in the Mac App Store.

If you want something for free, GIMP is also available for the Mac.
