Picture frame mode: view albums and videos?

I can't select an album to view in picture mode. It seems to only allow you to view events, but this doesn't make sense. Am I missing something?

Also, why can't we view videos in picture frame mode?

It's not trying to be a full image viewer. More similar to a digital picture frame - playing random images.

Well, you can select specific events from your library, but not "albums." That makes no sense. With a digital picture frame you can select a set of pictures to show. Also with a digital picture frame, you can play videos. I just don't get the limited functionality.

Update, I restarted my iPad and now albums show as an option, but videos will not play. Only photos.
