I was wondering if there was a way to do the following picture in picture sequence in iMovie 09:

1. I have an edited clip with sound already in my project (let's call it "Clip 1");

2. I want the full screen version of Clip 1 to run for about 10 seconds before it transitions into picture in picture while Clip 2 then takes the full screen;

The problem I am having is getting the full screen mode of Clip 1 to transition into picture in picture mode as Clip 2 begins. It seems like there is no feature in iMovie to accomplish this task. For example, to bring up the the picture in picture mode you would have to drag a clip that is not currently in your project (meaning an unedited Clip 1 for me) and then drop it on top of a clip (i.e. Clip 2) in the project. In essence it seems like the clip has to operate entirely as full screen or picture in picture mode and there can be no transition from one to another.

Has anyone found a way around this? Disclaimer: I am new to all of this so I am sure there is some complex way around this problem, but I was curious if there was something fairly simple that I have not discovered.
