Picture in Picture

In my OS 10.13.1 the function 'Picture in Picture' has suddenly spontaneously been activated which is very distracting because this extra little picture will place itself above all other windows.

How on Earth can I cancel this function ?

If you invoked "Toggle zoom" by hitting option-command-8 you can remove it using the same key combo.
