Picture problems on iMove

Hello, my brother had transferred pictures from iPhoto to iMovie and every one of them came up blurry. But They look fine on iPhoto. Please help!!

P.S His camera is a Canon Rebel XT and his computer is a iMac g5.

Although this isn't a strictly photography question (more like Digital Video), the reason why this occurs is that iMovie down-samples your pictures to fit into an SD format.
Basically what that means is that your 8.1 megapixel image gets cropped to 640 by 480, so that it will fit on a television screen.
