iPod touch Picture problems

I have been trying to download pictures onto my ipod touch, but after syncing my ipod, only 4 out of about 20 pictures show up, and most of the pics that actually get on have weird colored lines popping up in random places. Any help would be appreciated.

p.s. the pics are .jpeg naruto manga images, if that helps any.
