I upgraded from GreenPoison 4.1 to 4.2GM and now my picture and camera app do not work, they just crash on launch. Any suggestions?

Reboot. If that doesn't work, restore your phone as new and then install the apps as new. Don't use a backup to restore from.

hmm then wil my folders and picture, etc still be there?

but will my pictures still be there once i restore from my backup?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Man this is why I'm afraid to upgrade

just restored twice and still have the same problem....

Are you restoring from a backup each time? If so, and the problem exists each time, then the problem is in the backup.

Do a restore as a new iphone, but do NOT restore from a backup, then sync your apps/music/etc in iTunes.

Don't restore from a backup, set it up as a new phone.

is there anyway i can go manually using touchcopy or something to find a corrupt file and delete it instead of going through the whole process of setting up new iphone?

and if i do completely set up as a new iphone, and not from backup, my pictures will not be on the phone, correct?

If you've synced your your phone up, backed up your iphone, and then also MANUALLY copied your photos from your iPhone to your desktop then there should be no reason why you can't set it up as a new phone and then install the apps and pics again after the upgrade to 4.2.

As for manually copying your picture, depends on if you have a Mac or a PC.

lets say i start from scratch as a new iphone, is there any way to get my old pics back into the camera roll and not a separate album?

also, if i set up as a new phone, what happens to my data for my games? will this all be lost?

Isn't this better asked/answered in the hacking forum, where there is a much higher percentage of readers who have jailbroken their phones (and thus know how to deal with quirks associated with that)?
