Pictures from iPhone to apple tv

How do I put my pictures I have onto my photo stream on my apple tv?

I'm not sure how to do it from your Photostream, but what I have done is to create a folder of photos on my Macbook. Then in iTunes > Advanced > Choose Photos to Share..., I have selected that folder to display as the screen saver on the Apple TV.

I know this is kind of a lame workaround, and I'm sure there's a better way...

Well I know that when you take a picture it will go into my photo stream, just don't know how to add photos I already have in my library on my iPhone.

You can use AirPlay to mirror what you have on your phone directly to your TV, or you can have iTunes "include" the Photostream Directory for synced photos.

Just go into iTunes, and make sure it's "checked"

Edit: I'll play around with my ATV later today. I usually just use Airplay from my phone for stuff like this, so I'm not sure if the above will work or not. Will get back to you later today or tomorrow.
