I have lost ~20 pictures I took during my family's 4th of July event this weekend. It was the first time they have met my 17 month old daughter. Normally I wouldn't sweat loosing pictures, but these are very important to me.

It restored every picture up until the backup I did before I left Sunday morning. I have tried A few different backups, one I made before I erased and synced my phone(new computer, old one was my work computer, no access to it).

Any ideas?

Um.. yeah.

Backup does not backup the photos.

You should have imported the photos into iPhone (or via windows) before erasing.

Don't think there's anything you can do at this point.

Sorry.

iPhone backup does backup photos.

Actually I had some syncs that didn't backup few weeks ago. Probably what happened to you. Now I check under Devices to see whether it had backup or not.

It could be an iTunes 9.2 bug. It's got the looking for gapless playback bug too.

Thought it was a freak accident or that I missed it. Time to write to apple.com/feedback or bug report.

I have a appointment at the genius bar tomorrow at 12:15. We will see what they say.

Don't think I won't lug my MDD up there. I have to have these pictures.

Actually his last backup was after the event, so all he needs to do is restore from that backup. I don’t understand why that would be available.

OP, look under iTunes>Preferences>Devices and see if you have this backup.
