Pictures in Desktop

Using iOS 10.8.3 on iMac 27
Setting/desktop/pictures set for random showing at 1 min.
Photos often appear on my desktop that i cannot find in the
"Pictures Folder" under Finder.
MS Windows had an option that showed each photo path as the photo was shown.
Is there such an option on iOS 10.8 and if not where could those photos be hiding.

Desktop pictures are just standard wallpapers that are not in pictures folder
they are in OS X HD>Library>Desktop Pictures
