Have any of you gone as all in with launchpad as you can? A few of my friends and I have. The only thing I have left in my dock are Finder, Launchpad, Downloads, and Trash. What about you?

You must be really excited about this LaunchPad thing... how many threads do you need to start to show your elation?

In addition to what you listed I have mission control, safari, thunderbird.

I do like the minimal look and functionality of a trimmed down dock.

The only thing that's changed on my dock since SL is I got rid of my applications folder on the right side of the dock. I use launchpad instead, but I still have a lot of apps on my dock. I like it like that. An empty dock just seems weird to me...
 
I don't use Launchpad, and I don't see a way to have a minimal dock anyway with applications left running (I don't close them, thanks to auto-save). At the moment my application switcher (command-tab) looks like:

That looks familiar...I really need my apps to start supporting 'Automatic Termination' :eek:

I actually still use the Dock extensively, but I keep it hidden now and have disabled the indicator lights.
