Pictures showing up full resolution in web now?

Clicked on some pics, showed in full resolution, instead of half resolution when the when pics are over the maximum allowed in safari. Usually you have to save the pics to the ipad to view them at full resolution.
 
Correction: The top of the web page displays the full resolution in iOS 6, however the picture is still down sized to a lower resolution, but still can be saved and viewed at full resolution.
