Piel Frama case unboxing (lots of photos)

Getting bored of STILL not having an iPad (long story), I decided to spend some time showing off my gorgeous Piel Frama case.

Apologies for the quality of these pics, they were taken on my iPhone so have to rely on ambient light...

Upright. Is prone to do the "splits" if on a smooth surface. Need to find a little device to hold the two legs together when in this position (only case flaw!):

Very nice looking case.

The US section only had it in a smooth finish. Which is nice, but the alligator style you have is just beautiful!

It looks fantastic. I am curious how it works with the iPad inside. The iPad is quite heavy, which is why other cases have some fastening mechanism to stop the case collapsing when propped in either typing or video viewing positions.

It would also be interesting to see how thick it is with the ipad inside.

Hope you get your iPad soon. May 27th pre-order, I assume.

Looks good. I've got one on its way too. Already have the iPad and wanted something reassuringly expensive to wrap it in .

Piel Frama are always very good quality. Had one of their cases for some PDA or other a while back. My thinking is - if I'm dumb enough to pay so much for an iPad then by golly I'm going to wrap it in the best that money can buy . Mine will look like this:

When the case arrives I'll post more thoughts on it.

Note the cutout - is that where the camera should be? Maybe this case will survive for iPad version two .

All depends on your style. Obviously a guy in an Ed hardy hat would look stupid with this case but a guy in a suit or sleek business attire would look pretty slick to me.

Don't dig it. The brown color inside is just so boring and meh. The outside leather glossy pattern is just hideous imo.

I got mine today.

While its a nice case, good quality, leather smooth as a baby's butt, great craftsmanship, I don't like the fact that it will not stand vertically.

It is also a little to puffy for me, and when you flip the cover around it makes it very unwieldy, too thick. Also while holding it that way the document cover as they call it is an annoyance.

Oh well, on to the next one.

Anyone had experience with magnetic closures? Does it interfere with the device at all?

I've had mine in one since mid-April or so and have had no issues.

the ipad is sleek and modern, but this is kinda gaudy retro.
I'm sure they paid alot, well, the packaging is nice.

glad the buyer is happy and maybe it looks better in person.

I had these folks make a black leather one for my ipad. It is "okay". It is too thick for my taste. I have reverted back to the Apple cover.
