Pinching is not working , need advice

Hi all,

I have recently sent my MBP to apple to replace my CD drive and discovered that the trackpad pinching is not working anymore. I went to the system preferences and made sure that the pinching options in the trackpad are all checked. It is not working on anything wether it is in the safari pages, desktop icons and PDF files. I have Mac OS X Version 10.6.2. Please advice :)
