Ping finally going away with the new iOS6?

A couple of months ago, apple update its iOS5, and as part of the update, 'like' and 'comment' button were added to the Music app, to interact with Ping, apple's not-that-popular social network. In the beta of iOS 6, both of these buttons have vanished into thin air. Now I assume no one mourns Ping's long awaited death sentence, but wouldn't it make senesce for apple to build some sort of sharing mechanism into the iPod app? I mean, with the new Facebook integration into iOS6 and the beloved twitter integration, wouldn't it make senesce for these two buttons to just stay there and work with Facebook instead of ping? Or even better, to have one of those beautiful new share sheets built into the iPod app? Do you think this is something to look forward to in the final version of iOS6?

I hope so. Ping is just kind of a cruel joke at this point.
