Well, seeing as Rick Wright died recently there is no chance we'll see the band again. Like a few others have said, I'd MUCH rather see Gilmour. Water's voice just sounds like hell these days.
I don't know about "no chance" given that Pink Floyd actually FIRED Wright back during The Wall the first time around. Gilmour brought him back for the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour as a mere session musician. While I believe he contributed a lot more musically than say Nick Mason (who is truly replaceable, IMO, but the only founding member left in the band), it was the Gilmour/Waters team that brought about the best Floyd music.
Even The Wall has, as David put it, his fingerprints all over it. Waters likes to give himself all the credits, but clearly he does not write music that well and all the music for Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell was all David's work. Roger has a nack for themed material and lyrics and a certain ambient sound and effects, but music isn't his strong suit. Look at Pros and Cons. I can't even listen to it despite some great guitar work by Clapton. Although I'll admit that Amused To Death was a masterpiece, despite being wordy. It didn't hurt that it had Jeff Beck on guitar either.
It's a shame David and Roger can't patch things up, though. Whether they like each other or not, it's pretty clear to most people that they produced great music together. Neither has done as well apart, IMO with perhaps a few song exceptions (High Hopes was magnificent for example).
Frankly, there's been a shortage of material from both even combined over the past 18 years. I mean come on, after that huge fight over the name of the band, Gilmour and company made two original albums since 1987! Sheesh. Frankly, I'd rather see another solo album from Waters than a Wall tour.
