A couple of months ago I moved completely over to a mac which was great, got the mac versions of programs I used all the time, Photoshop, MS Office etc.

On my windows pc i used Pinnacle Studio 10 and a Dazzle DVC170 to get video from vhs tapes, camcorders etc onto my pc.

I would like to use the Dazzle DVC170 on my new iMac to capture video but when I plug it in nothing happens. Do I need to get mac drivers or something for it?

I don't really want to go and buy another bit of kit when I already have the DVC170. I found on one forum that the DVC170 is the same for both mac and pc, its just the software that is different.

I did find the elgato Video Capture device as a possible alternative.

Any help finding drivers for my DVC170 would be most appreciated.

There is no reference to a Mac on the specifications of the Dazzle 170. Did you try import movie in Imovie by pushing on the camera button?

If it does not work i gues you'll need to install bootcamp and XP, and import it this way in windows, than put it in a shared folder or USB stick , partition or whatever is possible with Bootcamp...
