Hey everyone,
I've just picked up a second display for cheap. Before, I had 4 desktops in mission control and set certain apps to only run in certain spaces or desktops. With the second display, I've essentially moved the 4th desktop to it, leaving 3 desktops on my main display. Now, however, whenever I restart, all of the apps open in the same space (desktop 1) instead of their previously designated space. Is there anyway I can pin the apps to certain desktops like I could when I was only running one display?
Things I've tried:
Right clicking the app in the dock and choosing all cominations of "all desktops" - "desktops on display 1 (or 2)" - "none". but none of my apps stay in place. I've even gone as far as deleting my dock and spaces prefs from my library folder, thinking they were corrupt.
With one display, when I right clicked an app icon in the dock and went to options, there was:
-All desktops
-This desktop
-None
Now with two displays, it's:
-All desktops
-Desktop on display 1 (not specifying which one)
-Desktop on display 2 (again, no specification)
-None
Why these options would change is beyond me and I can't pin or force an app to open ALWAYS in a desired desktop.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
